About the Company

Zap allows you to pay for parking with a single tap! When you pull into a parking area, you will receive a notification on your phone asking if you would like to start payment. After confirming with your phone’s security feature (FaceId, TouchId, or Passcode) you will be able to go about your day. Upon returning to your vehicle, you will receive a similar notification prompting you to end payment. It’s simple, quick, and easy! Zap distinguishes itself from competitors by allowing a seamless payment process. Utilizing your location, we can track when you arrive, how long you park, and when you leave. The user does not have to enter unnecessary variables, and can save time and money while using Zap!

I am one of the Co-founders of ZAP as well as having the direct role of Head of Finance. Being a co-founder, I had to wear all of the hats and had my hands in every facet of the business except development. From operations, to finance, to marketing I did it all. Once the company was more established, my primary duty was handling the financials and fundrasing, using my network of professionals to make the necessary connections. Zap was the winner of the Perkins and Coie Innovative Minds Grand Prize of $10,000 and runner up at ASU Innovation Open (ASU.io).
